What is Heat?

Image
Have you at any point pondered why we wear garments ? Obviously, there are individuals who don't wear any, In any case, the vast majority of us do, and it's not a direct result of humility or anxiety toward getting apprehended for indecent exposure. You may be totally agreeable in a T-shirt and shorts, yet take them off, and ultimately, you'll likely begin to feel cold. Stroll around your home exposed for some time, in light of a legitimate concern for material science, and you'll understand. That chill you'll begin to feel is all a result of the progression of heat. I hope that you know about Kinetic Energy , there are perhaps a couple of ways of portraying the kinetic energy of a framework:  Temperature - - the proportion of the kinetic energy of every individual atom in a substance. One more proportion of the kinetic energy of a framework is internal energy , otherwise called thermal energy, addressed by the letter U. Thermal energy is the kinetic energy of th...

How do we know the Earth is round?

Image
Teachers have told us that the Earth is round like a ball. Scientists have advised us that the Earth is round. Astronauts who have been to the Moon have instructed us that the Earth is spherical. They took pictures. And yet, when you walk outside, the whole lot appears completely flat. What's the deal? Are teachers trying to trick us? Are the pix from the space faux? And is there any manner to even know for yourself? I imply, except you come to be an astronaut and go to space, it appears not possible to ever recognize this for yourself.   " How do we know the  Earth is round?"

What do we know?

Let me share with you an interesting incident which I read in  the renowned book "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawkings . When Bertrand Russell was tending to a social event He convinced people that the earth revolves around the sun and then the sun revolves around the cluster of stars: galaxy. At the end of the lecture, an old lady ridiculed him by saying that the world is a flat plate supported on the back of a turtle. Bertrand cleverly asked ' what is the tortoise standing on?'She replied its turtles all the way down! If you find the concept of earth on the back of a turtle a ridiculous one, let me tell you that there are even more absurd theories, for instance: earth on the back of elephants standing on the turtle or the earth on the back of a whale and even on the horns of a bull!  The story is entertaining, yet Stephen posed an exceptionally convincing question. We would all find this image of level, flat earth on the rear of turtles a strange and peculi...

What about India?

Image
Lately, I have been rambling on about  Greek natural philosophers. They were people with particular speculations, and we have records about them. Yet, they weren't the only individuals making information. India had major metropolitan communities, brought together authoritative states, and muddled mystical customs. In Indian sacred texts, a great many divine beings and evil spirits made ceaseless conflict, obliterating and reproducing reality itself! Old Indian scholars didn't lead to a similar normal way of thinking as the Greeks  Why do I wanna discuss India here?   India presents an advantageous contradiction to Greece since information making in India was indivisible from a long strict religious practice, supported by the state, and centered in on applications. Simultaneously, the two districts traded thoughts with one another and the more extensive world. Today we'll plunge into two or three significant parts of the Indian regular way of thinking, fundamental wa...

Is it Worth it ?

Image
Are Plato and Aristotle worth reading? Well, time has proved that their ideas were not only false but bizarre and foolish! They might be great scholars for philosophy students but not for us scientists, right? Again, you are being too greedy for results. Of course, Results and Answers are our ultimate goals but there is a path required to reach this destination. This path has no shortcuts, and the ones who look for shortcuts learn reality the hard way. If these pre-Socrates and post-Socrates had not started taking random guesses at nature there would be no way we could have reached good answers. And we only know that all science today is just good answers because we are yet to find the exact ones. Unless we formulate  “Theory of Everything” , we can’t be sure that the answers we have right now, are just good guesses or exact solutions. If you don’t know “Theory of Everything” , well it’s a hypothetical equation that is supposed to a...

Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum

Have you decided on being a Platonist or an Aristotelian? Well, I personally think you need both idealism and realism in Science. And we are not analyzing who was right and who wasn't! We are just interested in the way they acquired such a wide scope of ideas. Isn't it fascinating that Plato's star student, who was taught idealism for 20 years, turned out to be the greatest rival of his ideology, perhaps the exact opposite of his philosophy? So, how did he manage to come up with such a revolutionary philosophy?  The answer lies in analyzing the very first centers of knowledge in Europe: Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum Parmenides I have effectively asserted that all we know about Socrates is on account of his students, mainly Plato established an actual school called 'the Academy' to prepare Athenians in 'how to think like Socrates.'  Furthermore, he additionally recorded dialogues among Socrates and different scholars including Parmenides. D...

Real or Ideal ?

Image
Are you an idealist or a materialist? Some of you might ask: How can we answer the question without knowing what idealist and materialist are? If you are asking questions like this, then congratulations, you are already following the Socratic Method . So, Idealism is actually a metaphysical view of the universe in which we link reality with our ideas and spirituality rather than the physical world. If you wanna test, ask yourself this question:  Do you observe the world and draw conclusions from what you see?   Materialism or Realism on the other hand means that matter is the fundamental substance of nature and all our consciousness and experiences are the result of the interaction between matters. Again for a quick check, ask yourself: Do you trust math or your senses?  Before you decide about being an idealist or materialist, let’s take a trip to Athens of 399 BCE to give you a better understanding of this concept and its origin. Remember Socrates? (If not th...
